Set Portfolios as Discord/Telegram Social Tokens using Collab.Land

What if I told you that the very ERC-20 nature of tokenised Set portfolios allow you to create Discord & Telegram community acceptance, roles and hierarchy based on the held quantity of tokens?
Why ❓
Simple, your Set portfolio is what hopefully, is generating a return on investment for investors. Those investors might want to be closer to the action and have some insight into the trade idea generation process or buy/sell justification of a particular asset. Additionally, you might want to offer your portfolio holders additional perks such as NFTs, merchandise or exclusive support.
Collab.Land allows you to set up private Discord channels or Telegram servers based on a configurable quantity of held Set tokens so you can identify and reward the members most vested into your products.
In this short guide, I will be walking through how I have set up Collab.Land to grant access to 3 private Crypto Kai Discord channels based on community member $CKI and $CKB holdings in their Ethereum Wallet.
How 📝
Prerequisites
- A created Discord server 🔗 discord.com
- Collab.Land bot added via 🔗 https://discord.com/oauth2/authorize?client_id=704521096837464076&scope=bot&permissions=8
- Discord role to associate with portfolio holders e.g. @Portfolio Holder.
- Collab.Land server role is higher in the hierarchy than the newly created role for portfolio holders.
- Private channel associated with portfolio holder Discord role e.g. 📈 | portfolio-updates.
- A created Set portfolio on TokenSets 🔗 tokensets.com.
Guide
- In the collabland-config channel on your Discord server, type !setup.
- Click the 🔏 reaction emoji on the response message.
- Click the 👍 reaction emoji in the response message.
- Click the 1️⃣ reaction emoji on the response message
- Click the 💰 emoji on the response message.
- Copy the Set ERC-20 contract address found on your Set portfolio page, in this example we are using the Crypto Kai Innovation Index.
- Send a message in the collabland-config channel in the following format:
<Set Contract Address> <Minimum number of tokens> <Maximum number of tokens (-1 for no limit)> <@Discord Role>e.g. 0x68ab9f9ba8E490D9Dc191f7A90540b5EDCcC92D6 0.1 -1 @Portfolio Holder
- You will get a confirmation response showing the created link between Set portfolio token and Discord role. In this example, anyone with a minimum of 0.1 $CKI tokens is eligible for the @Portfolio Holders role.
- Test the integration via typing !join and following the prompts.
Done! ✅ Below you can see in the Crypto Kai Discord I have created 3 private channels, one for more in-depth portfolio updates, one for open discussion and finally one for exclusive set & trading related priority support.
